I was recently invited to give a talk to students of political architecture at the Royal Danish Academy on sounds relationship to architecture and in particular Steve Goodman’s book Sonic Warfare: Sound Affect and the Ecology of Fear. I have written about this book at length before too. This is the audio from that talk, which was recorded a bit on the fly, so is a little echo-y (but that just adds to the point). It also features a snipeet of my recent audio paper for Seismograf, which you can listen to here
Thanks to Edoardo Lomi for putting me in contact with the school. Thanks also to Neils Grønbæk for being such a gracious host and exciting sparring partner. And thanks so much for the students who attended for their incredible engagment.
